This is a part-time position (18-24 hours per week) assisting with restocking ambulances, managing medical supplies, and assisting with behavioral health transports.
SUMMARY
Multi-task part-time position that requires flexibility in daily shift schedule management according to the demands of the LifeNet system.
The main job tasks include:
Safely transporting behavioral health clients from area hospitals to behavioral
health centers.
These transports may be as far as 300 miles away from Texarkana.
Safely transporting equipment, supplies, paperwork and other materials as deemed
necessary from one location to another.
Other duties include maintaining equipment and vehicles utilized in providing service, loading and unloading of supplies, maintaining adequate inventories of various supplies, assisting with invoice reconciliation of incoming medical supplies and other shipped items, restocking and cleaning ambulances, monitoring and replacing disposable items at LifeNet headquarters and posts.
All tasks must be completed in a safe, efficient and professional manner.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinate with the LifeNet Communications Center and local hospitals to arrange the timely and safe transportation of medically stable, behavioral health clients
Complete patient care reports and turn in daily
Maintain strict patient confidentiality
Follow LifeNet guidelines for customer service
Drive in a safe, courteous and public-oriented manner
Complete daily vehicle check sheet for vehicles assigned to position
Maintain cleanliness of interior and exterior of assigned units
Report vehicle mechanical problems to Maintenance Department and Supervisor
Assist with maintaining the cleanliness of ambulances and area stations
Function as a public relations representative when dealing with clients, facilities,
agencies, etc.
Receive, fill and place weekly supply orders
Verify accuracy of shipments, track backorders
Reconcile all order forms, packing slips, etc.
and turn in daily
Stock medical supplies and maintain cleanness of supply room
Order and stock supplies at area post
Lift and carry equipment and supplies to and from the posts and other locations
as deemed necessary
Retrieve and clean medical equipment from hospitals
Clean and restock restrooms, vehicle wash area, locker room and crew area
Assist with cleaning of outside area around Post 5
Responsible for adhering to all company policies and procedures
Restock various items in and around headquarters.
This includes, but is not limited to: paper towels, toilet paper, water, soap dispensers, etc.
Perform other related duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be at least 18 years of age
High school diploma or equivalent
Current, valid driver’s license for state of residence
Acceptable driving record
Negative DOT drug screen
Ability to pass LifeNet physical agility test
Ability to maintain effective communication skills with clients, co-workers and interacting agencies
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Effective interpersonal skills
Ability to locate ambulance posts, hospitals and medical facilities within a 300 miles radius of Texarkana.
